DAMASCUS - An explosive-laden car was detonated at a bus station early Thursday in the Syrian capital, injuring two people, the state-run SANA news agency reported.
Meanwhile, another car bomb ripped through a military checkpoint in northwestern province of Idlib, wounding six army men including an officer.
Thursday's bombings are the latest in a series of blasts that have rocked the violence-torn country during the 15-month unrest.
The Syrian government blames foreign-backed terrorists of being behind the daily grind of violence.
