The United States and the Republic of Korea will hold talks in Washington on June 29 to exchange views on the US-ROK alliance and policies concerning the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, media in Seoul reported.

ROK Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Kyu-hyun and US Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Kurt Campbell will attend the meeting, the Yonhap News Agency reported.

Both sides will talk about boosting the bilateral alliance and shared strategies over their common concerns of international issues.

The senior officials will also discuss Pyongyang's future policies and the growing global influence of China, Yonhap added.
