5.1-magnitude quake hits near east coast of Honshu

HONG KONG - An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 15:19:32 Beijing Time on Saturday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 40.40 km, was initially determined to be at 37.0653 degrees north latitude and 141.1660 degrees east longitude.
