PARIS - French telecom operator Alcatel-Lucent on Wednesday announced a 1-billion-US dollar contract with India's Reliance Communications (RCOM) to enhance the latter's telecom network in Eastern and Southern India up to 2020.
The contract "will deliver world-class, seamless voice and data communications services to RCOM customers," said RCOM, India's fully integrated telecommunications service provider.
Alcatel-Lucent, one of the world's leading companies in the telecom industry, generated 15.3 billion euros (20.3 U.S. dollars) of revenue in 2011.
