7.0-magnitude quake hits off Japan's Hokkaido
TOKYO - A 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit off Japan's Hokkaido at around 12:06 local time Friday, said Japan's Meteorological Agency.
The epicenter was initially determined at 46.2 degree north latitude, 150.9 degree east longitude near Kuril Islands, with a depth of 10 km.
The quake was registered 4 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in north parts of Hokkaido.
No tsunami warnings were issued and no damage and injuries were reported as of now.
