ROK's President Park to visit US
SEOUL - The Republic of Korea's President Park Geun-hye will head a large economic delegation to visit the United States on Sunday as her first overseas trip since taking office, the Yonhap News Agency reported Friday.
The 51-member economic delegation, largest in history, include the heads of ROK's five largest business organizations, such as Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Kun-hee, Hyundai Motor chairman Chung Mong-koo, LG Group Chairman Koo Bon-moo and other heads of big businesses.
"The largest economic delegation is partly aimed at putting off concerns about ROK's economy that may be raised by recent heightened tensions on the Korean Peninsular," Yonhap News Agency cited an official from the Federation of Korean Industries as saying.
The economic delegation are scheduled to meet their US counterparts to promote business corporation with the two countries.
