RIYADH - Saudi Arabia planned to adopt a decision, which bans males from working in women-related product shops in order to encourage more females to get jobs, the Al Riyadh newspaper reported Thursday.

According to the decision, the employers who continue to hire males, including sale assistants and accountants in the women-related product shops, will face penalties.

As a result, thousands of job opportunities will be provided for females.

The decision, which will be put in practice in about two months, is part of the Labor Ministry's plan to integrate females in the local market as 85 percent of unemployed in the country are women.

Some companies and shops have entrusted the recruitment agencies to look for proper female candidates, according to the newspaper.
