Gunman shoots two, commits suicide in Texas
HOUSTON - A gunman shot two neighbours and then killed himself in the US state of Texas Thursday night, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 8 pm CST in the Cypress area, 40 km northwest of Texas's largest city Houston, local TV ABC13 reported.
Investigators said there was a fight between two different homes, and one homeowner grabbed a gun, walked to a house across the cul-de-sac and shot two men. One was shot in the neck, the other in the torso.
One of the victims was taken to a hospital in a private car, while the other was transported via LifeFlight to another hospital. Both are in serious conditions, the report said.
Investigators said the suspect gunman later returned to his home, where he shot and killed himself.
It wasn't immediately known whether the two victims were residents in the neighbourhood or just visiting the home and what their relationship is. Authorities are trying to learn the history between them.
