JINAN - A Chinese team of 100 military and medical staff left for South Sudan on Tuesday night on a peacekeeping mission, it was revealed on Wednesday.
The total team of 331 will conduct an eight-month mission in the African nation, a military statement said. Another two teams will leave on Nov. 23 and 27.
They will mainly assume tasks of building and maintaining roads, bridges, airports, water and power facilities as well as destroying weapons and ammunition in the city of Wau, according to the statement.
