The Qingdao sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was founded in 1988 as an international business promotion organization managed by the city government.

In addition to administering and developing local conferences and exhibitions, CCPIT Qingdao also aims to attract international investment and promote business cooperation between the city and foreign countries as well as trade regions.

Promoting investment and trade for years, CCPIT Qingdao is known for its proficiency and internationalization, said local officials.

To date, it has set up cooperative relations with more than 70 international institutions and has organized 70 large-scale global events.

In addition, it has successfully attracted more than 600 foreign-invested projects, with a total value of 18 billion yuan ($3 billion).

CCPIT Qingdao has also established comprehensive legal services, handles the issue of certificate of origin for exports and other legal papers on foreign-related commercial documentation or authentication.

It is also mediates disputes in foreign trade, marine affairs and other business and legal issues.

Its is also committed to promoting global business cooperation as a "transnational bridge" between Qingdao and the world.
