Mexican President to visit China, attend APEC summit

BEIJING -- Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto will pay a state visit to China and attend the 22nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in Beijing from Nov. 10 to 13, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang announced Monday.
Nieto is visiting at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Qin said in a press release.
With the theme of "Shaping the Future through Asia-Pacific Partnership", a series of APEC meetings will be held from Nov. 5 to 11 in Beijing.
Xi will chair the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting. On the sidelines of the meeting, he will meet with leaders of other APEC member economies.
