China to aid Africa without preconditions: Li

ABUJA - China will earmark more than half of its foreign aid for Africa without preconditions, visiting Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said here Thursday.

"China will, as always, continue to increase its assistance to Africa in both quantity and quality to the extent of its ability, ensuring that more than half of its foreign aid will go to Africa, " Li told a World Economic Forum on Africa in the Nigerian capital.

China to aid Africa without preconditions: Li

China will never use its aid to interfere in the internal affairs of African countries, he added.

The Chinese premier also said China will help Africa to develop high-speed railway, expressway and aviation networks, vowing that China will continue to prioritize infrastructural development in its cooperation with Africa.

China has solid foundation of sustained growth

China enjoys solid foundation of sustained economic growth despite a recent slowdown, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang told the forum.

Li said China has recorded a slowdown in economic growth compared with past performance, but the country still enjoys solid foundation of sustained growth.

China will give more attention to enhancing the quality and efficiency of growth and making growth more inclusive and sustainable, the premier said.

"We have the confidence and capability to meet the expected growth target of around 7.5 percent for this year," he said.
