The winners of the 58th annual World Press Photo contest were announced Thursday at The Hague. Here's a look at some of their best works.
Pete Muller, a US photographer of Prime on assignment for National Geographic/The Washington Post, won the First Prize in the General News Category, Stories, of the 2015 World Press Photo contest with his series of pictures taken on November 23, 2014 which includes this one in which m edical staff at the Hastings Ebola Treatment Center work to escort a man in the throes of Ebola-induced delirium back into the isolation ward from which he escaped.
