On the 2015 list of world-leading MBA programs released by the Financial Times last month in London, Manchester Business School ranks fifth in the UK, 12th in Europe and 35th in the world. Its doctoral program is first in Europe and third in the world.

The ranking also shows 84 percent of MBS alumni successfully complete an MBA, making it ninth in the world in that measurement.

Founded in 1965, MBS is one of the first two business schools in the UK. With international centers in Manchester, Miami, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Brazil, it has 50 years of experience in successfully delivering cutting-edge programs to individuals and major organizations across the globe.

MBS has a global reputation for innovative and influential teaching and research that influences business on a local, national and international level. In its 50th anniversary year, MBS will continue to build on its history of world-class research and inspire the business leaders of the future both in Manchester and internationally through its global centers.

Located in the center of Shanghai, MBS China Centre was launched in 2008, bringing British world-class education to the Chinese market, and demonstrating a long-term commitment to sustainable growth with its Chinese partners.

As one of the MBS international centers, the China Centre offers a global part-time MBA, global executive MBA, joint DBA program with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and dual degree MBA program with Tongji University.

The establishment of MBS China Centre offers opportunities to take workshops in Shanghai with MBS academic faculty, while enjoying global network.

The China Centre has become the second-largest overseas international center for MBS. More than 1,000 global MBA students have studied for the world-class MBA program, gaining an average salary increase of 92 percent.

MBS China Centre has established partnerships with top enterprises and companies in China, and signed a talent management partnership agreement with world-leading companies. The solid relationship is mutually beneficial, allowing MBS to collaborate in identifying and attracting the right people and understanding and meeting executive development needs.

Sherry Fu, founding director of MBS China Centre in Shanghai, said "we hope the success stories of Chinese companies doing business in the UK will be inspiring our students, alumni and faculty to engage more in the China-UK business studies and research and apply that to real business work".

"By doing so, we will make more contribution to the economic development of both countries - in particular as the UK becomes top destination in Europe for Chinese investment".

MBS launched the China Centre in Shanghai in 2008. In the past several years, MBS has supported Chinese and international companies in the region to attract, develop and retain their employees by equipping them with knowledge, skill and experience to take business forward.
