BEIJING - China's representative high-speed train model, the CRH 380A, was displayed at the ongoing Milan Expo on Saturday.
The CRH (China Railway High-speed) train, developed and manufactured by the country's biggest train maker, China South Railway Cooperation (CSR), is one of its state-of-the-art products.
The train hit a speed of 486.1 kilometers per hour in a test run on the high-speed rail line linking Beijing and Shanghai in 2010. Up to now, the train has completed safe operation covering more than 300 million kilometers.
By the end of 2014, Chinese high-speed trains run on over 16,000 kilometers of railways, with more than 10,000 kilometers of high-speed railways under construction.
