The 14th prime ministers' meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held on Dec 14-15 in Zhengzhou, Henan province, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying announced on Dec 7.
At the invitation of Premier Li Keqiang, Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Temir Sariyev, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov, as well as governmental leaders from SCO observer states - Afghanistan, Belarus, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan - will attend the meeting, Hua said.
Officials in charge of relevant international organizations and mechanisms, including the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) will also attend the meeting, Hua said.
"All the parties will embark on an exchange of views on boosting SCO cooperation in various fields," Hua said.
Hua also announced that Masimov, Medvedev and Sariyev will pay official visits to China prior to, or after, the SCO meeting.
Premier Li will co-chair the 20th China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting with Medvedev.
