BEIJING - China and Albania vowed on Thursday to strengthen cooperation in infrastructure construction.

In a meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang urged the two countries to turn their good political relations into substantive outcomes to benefit people of both nations.

The Chinese government supports Chinese enterprises in helping build Albania's ports, railways, power grids and industrial parks, Li said.

China and Albania should expand cooperation in financing, mining and agriculture, he said, adding that he hopes Albania will make Chinese investment and tourism more convenient.

Rama said Albania values relations with China and has high hopes for development of bilateral ties.

Albania welcomes China's role in infrastructure and hopes to expand cooperation in agricultural trade and tourism, Rama said.

He said Albania is willing to streamline visa access for Chinese people.

During his visit, Rama attended the fourth leaders' meeting between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.

The fourth China-CEE leaders' meeting was held from Tuesday to Wednesday. It is the first time China has hosted the annual meeting since it began in 2012.
