He said leading Chinese Internet companies are already well-known in other countries and have established good brand images.
Zhang made the comments at a sub-forum of the conference in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province.
He believed the competition among Chinese Internet firms is much more intense compared to their foreign counterparts and the companies have their own special creative abilities, which offer good foundations for their move to go abroad.
China has witnessed a rapid development of its Internet industry over the past two decades.
And the thriving Internet industry and the gigantic market potential have also bred countless Internet companies, and some of them, such as Baidu, Tencent and Alibaba, have become international goliaths.
