A poll published by Russian state-owned Public Opinion Foundation revealed that 56% Russians believe China is the most friendly country to Russia among all.
The poll was conducted on a representative sample of 1500 adults living in 53 areas across Russia. Among all the 1500 Russians, 68% think Belarus is the most friendly country, 56% China and 50% Kazakhstan. Both Belarus and Kazakhstan were in Soviet Union and later on gained independence.
The viewpoint was considered consistent since April, 2014, according to the survey. Ukraine, the United States and Turkey were ranked top three "the most unfriendly country to Russia" in the same survey.
