In 2015, Queen Elizabeth II welcomed Chinese President Xi at Buckingham Palace. Xi's visit to Britain, the first by a Chinese president in a decade, was hailed as opening a "golden era" in China-Britain relations, featuring enduring, inclusive and mutually beneficial cooperation.
