Birthdays
The Queen celebrates two birthdays each year: her actual birthday on April 21 and her official birthday on a Saturday in June. England has so few nice sunny days so that the monarchy decided that "official" birthday celebrations be held during the summer when the weather is more likely to be pleasant.
It is marked by a military parade and gun salutes in London.
