A lucky photographer has captured Mount Bromo in Indonesia spewing lava and ash in mid-eruption, revealing how a blanket of ash dramatically covers the unspoilt landscape.
The scenes have been captured by Ts Kok, 45, a vet from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, who exploring Mount Bromo and Ljen Crater with his friends on horseback.
It was pure luck that Ts and his friends timed their trip last June with the volcanic eruption which added a whole new dimension to the already breath-taking landscape.
A combination of cheap flights and pictures on social media influenced Ts and his mates to explore the popular tourist destination.
