BERLIN -- Thousands of people were evacuated in Berlin after a bomb from the Second World War was reported Friday.
The bomb disposal action lasted until early Saturday morning with local police saying on Twitter at 1:56 a.m. that "All explosives have been removed. You may go home."
After the aerial bomb from WWII was found at a construction site in Berlin's northwestern Pankow district Friday, police set up a blocked area, where thousands of people and several buildings including some foreign embassies were evacuated.
