A week-long environmental exhibition and forum featuring Sino-EU cooperation will be organized within the European Parliament in October, according to the organizers.
Put together by the World Green Design Organization (WDGO) and Beijing Dragon Design Foundation, the World Green Design Forum will be held on October 13-14th, accompanied by the week-long exhibition.
The organizers say it is vital to showcase the achievements in sustainable development of China and EU shortly after the US and China's ratification of the Paris Climate Agreement ahead of the G20 Summit in Hangzhou, China, earlier this month.
Themed "new opportunities for green design cooperation between China and Europe", the forum aims to link European green enterprises and their Chinese counterparts that are willing to learn about better solutions, investment opportunities and cooperation possibilities.
European companies are well equipped with advanced technologies and designs in the green industry while the market in Europe has been relatively saturated, said Cai Lingjun, director of International Cooperation Center of World Green Design Organization (WGDO).
"Therefore we intend to introduce their technologies to China," she said.
Cai said her organization will also help arrange tours for Chinese participants, who will visit the most experienced green enterprises in Europe after the forum.
