Sotheby's in London to auction Emperor Qianlong's musket
An exquisite and rare "Jian" "Hare's fur" "Tenmoku" bowl from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1280) is shown at the preview of Chinese artworks entitled "Treasures Of The Song & Qing Dynasties" to be auctioned at Sotheby's in London, UK, in November. The iridescent tea bowl reputedly came to Japan during the Kamukura period brought by Japanese monks who had visited Buddhist temples in Southern China. [Photo/IC] |
