WASHINGTON -- US Police said on Monday that five people have been killed in a workplace shooting incident in Orlando, Florida.

"Four dead at scene of business. One victim died at hospital. Shooter killed himself. Suspect 45 years old. Disgruntled former employee," the Orange County Sheriff's Office said on its twitter, ruling out the possibility of a terrorist attack.

The shooting occurred in an industrial area with multiple warehouses.

"The shooter was carrying a gun and an knife. He was fired from this business. The individual shot former co-workers," it said.

The police received a call at 8:03 am (1203 GMT) from a local business, reporting an active shooter, and they arrived two minutes later, finding four dead at the scene, a statement said.

"This is sad for once again for us in Orange County. Our hearts go out to the victims," Sheriff Jerry Demings told a press briefing.

The identity of the shooter is expected to be released soon after relatives are notified, the police said, adding that the incident posed no harm to the business.
