Xi to attend APEC meeting in Da Nang, Vietnam

President Xi Jinping will travel to the coastal city of Da Nang, Vietnam Nov 10 to 11 to attend the informal leaders meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lu Kang announced Friday.

Xi will pay state visits to Vietnam and Laos after the APEC meeting Nov 12 to 14, Lu said.

It will be Xi's first overseas trip since he was re-elected as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Oct 25.
