The publication ceremony of magazine China Wind Kazakhstan Special was held in Kazakh capital city of Astana on Tuesday.

The magazine was jointly published by China Radio International, the Kazakhstan newspaper DKnews, and Russia's Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

Hu Bangsheng, deputy director of China Radio International, said the publication ceremony of the new magazine means a lot as it was held before the opening of Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Astana 2017 World Expo.

The Editor-in-chief of DKnews Serik Korzhumbayev said the magazine had stories about the state visit of President Xi Jinping to Kazakhstan, and the development of Sino-Kazakh bilateral cooperation projects.

"The China Wind Kazakhstan Special will boost the friendship as well as mutual understanding by people from not only China and Kazakhstan, but all members from Shanghai Cooperation Organization," Korzhumbayev said.

China Wind magazine was firstly published in 2004 under the cooperation between China Radio International and Rossiyskaya Gazeta. The Kazakhstan Special is its first time to have special version to be published in a Central Asian country.
