China, Slovenia to cooperate more in agriculture, tourism and auto-making
Premier Li Keqiang said China would like to import more agricultural goods and boost cooperation in tourism and automotive manufacturing with Slovenia, when meeting Tuesday with his Slovenian counterpart Miro Cerar in the Hungarian capital Budapest.
Li said the cross-region economic cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries is a key part of China-Europe ties and is beneficial to the healthy development of globalization. The two countries should work together to promote cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries as well as China-European cooperation, he said.
Li said both countries have made accomplishments cooperating in agriculture, tourism and scientific and technological research. China would like to import more competitive agricultural goods from Slovenia and support more Chinese tourists traveling to Central and Eastern European nation, he said. China has strong capacities in auto manufacturing and is willing to encourage Chinese automakers to participate in the industry in Slovenia, he said.
Cerar said Slovenia would like to strengthen cooperation in fields such as agriculture, auto manufacturing, tourism and winter sports, increasing the value added through collaboration. Cultural and educational exchanges should also be expanded to increase people-to-people exchanges, he said.
