Premier Li Keqiang told Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte that he hopes China and the Philippines will work together to bring bilateral ties back onto a normal track and develop them in a healthy and stable way, according to a Foreign Ministry's press release on Friday.
Li made the remarks when meeting with Duterte in the Lao capital Vientiane on Wednesday on the sidelines of a series of leaders' meetings on East Asia cooperation.
Duterte expressed his willingness to improve bilateral ties, and said bringing them back to normal is also a principle he is adhering to.
