The first foreign sportsman to get a Chinese "green card", or permanent residence permit, former NBA star Stephon Marbury will soon see his story to hit the country's big screen.
My Other Home, which casts Marbury to play himself alongside actors He Bing, Godfrey Tsao, Vivian Dawson, Sunny Wang and Gao Yunxiang, will premiere on Aug 4.
Produced by filmmakers from China and the United States, the movie is based on Marbury's life.
The movie also features former NBA stars Allen Iverson and Baron Davis.
Director Yang Zi, known for the award-winning art-house movie Mountain Cry, says his film will appeal to a wider viewership.
