BEIJING - Oman's Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousuf bin Alawi will visit China from May 12 to 16, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced Friday.
Alawi was invited by Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, said spokesperson Geng Shuang, adding that the two officials will hold talks during the visit and exchange views on China-Oman relations and global and regional issues of common concern.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Oman. Bilateral ties have been developing rapidly in recent years, and the two sides always understand and support each other on issues involving their core interests and major concerns, Geng said.
"China is ready to work with Oman to enhance friendship, political mutual trust and cooperation in all fields," Geng said.
