JAKARTA - An earthquake measuring 6.0 magnitude jolted central parts of Indonesia on Tuesday, but was not potential for tsunami, the meteorology and geophysics agency said.
The quake struck at 4:59 pm local time with epicenter situated at 240 km northwest Sangihe Islands of North Sulawesi province and a depth of 77 km under sea bed, official of the agency Pambagio said.
"For this quake, we did not unveil a warning for tsunami. And, so far, we have not received any reports of damage," he told Xinhua by phone.
