The China Overseas Development Association announced that the 2018 International Industrial Capacity Cooperation Forum and the 10th China Overseas Investment Fair will be held in Beijing on Sept 15 and 16.
"The fair, with a theme of ‘Explore New Approaches to Overseas Investment and Drive Global Economic Growth’, will launch important content -- including the high-level dialogue, investment forum, capacity promotion and project matching -- to expound on the goal of high-quality development in China in the new era and decode China's new round of opening-up," He Zhenwei, secretary-general of the China Overseas Development Association, said at a news conference on Thursday.
"It's not only a bridge for entities to gain information about going global, but also a window to attract investment from all parties."
Coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping and the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up, the fair will seize this timing to create commercial opportunities for domestic and foreign entities, and deepen international capacity cooperation to inject new impetus into the world economy.
As the secretary-general introduced, the fair will invite former and current national officials and heads of government departments from many countries and regions to attend the forum. Other participants will include entrepreneurs at home and abroad, and experts and scholars from more than 100 countries and regions.
"It's an essential occasion for all participants to develop multilateral investment cooperation," He said.
As blockchain technology has been described as a key to the fourth industrial revolution, the fair this year will hold a seminar to discuss blockchain technology applications and the sharing economy.
