The Faithful

It is a biographical film based on the life of Fang Zhimin, a Communist Party military and political leader. The Faithful, which debuted on Aug 24, is directed by Yang Hu and stars Huang Shao-qi. The movie centers on the prison life of Fang, who was arrested by Kuomintang troops on Jan 29, 1935, and was executed on Aug 6 the same year in Nanchang, Jiangxi province. During his time in jail, Fang refuses to surrender and secretly writes a number of articles to show his faith in Communism.
