The UNESCO World Heritage region of Dachstein Salzkammergut in Upper Austria has a more than 7,000-year-long cultural heritage, and is right next to Salzburg. In addition, the surrounding Dachstein region is also a winter paradise with skiing, Christmas markets, huts, handicrafts and traditions to explore.

Direct flights to Vienna take off from Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. A four-hour train ride westward will take travelers from the Vienna airport to Innsbruck. Chinese winter tourists contributed 290,625 arrivals to the world total of 13.2 million arrivals in Austria during the 2016-2017 season, a 33.2 percent annual increase.
