Organizers say more than 100,000 people attended the MCM Comic Con at the ExCeL London exhibition center in London last weekend. Many were dressed as fictional characters from comics, movies, TV series, and more.

This kind of costumed role-play is known as "cosplay", an abbreviation of "costume play", and fans, or "cosplayers", travel the world to attend comic conventions.

Why is cosplay so popular? And how does it differ from regular dressing up? Join China Daily on a trip to London Comic Con where we ask "Wonder Woman" how she makes her armor and "Thor" tells us how he manages to lift his hammer.
