“It’s a dream for me to conduct these great pieces and play with the Berliner Philharmoniker,” says 37-year-old conductor Dudamel, who made his debut performances in China with Simón Bolívar Youth Orchestra at NCPA in December 2008. He adds that the shows in 2008 were also his Asian debut.

“I have played with Lang Lang many times at different places in the world. This trip to China is special because this is his home country,” the conductor adds.

“I was so sad when I couldn’t make the tour with the Berliner Philharmoniker because my left hand was injured. Now I can finally perform with them,” says the 36-year-old pianist at NCPA. “This time we will play Mozart together. I am very excited and I will try my best to make sure the sound of every note.”
