Shen Teng comedy gets holiday release

In the film, the protagonist, Zhang Chi — a former racecar driver who now runs an open-air street stall selling fried rice — wants to restore his lost glory by returning to motor racing, but ironically, he has to he has to get a driving license first.

Recently, the film’s stars — which also include Huang Jingyu, Yin Zheng, and Zhang Benyu — gathered in Beijing for a promotional event, where the cast and crew helped auction off some of the costumes and props from the film, raising more than 600,000 yuan ($87,200) in the process. The money will be used to purchase gifts for fans.
