CRIHAP delegation visits Tianjin for ICH projects

The Yangliuqing woodcut New Year Painting has a wide range of themes, rich content, full composition, and auspicious implication. It combines carving and painting to make a picture, exquisite in carving, delicate in drawing, vivid in characters and elegant in color. It has been listed in the first national intangible cultural heritage list of the State Council since 2006.

Its production is divided into five processes - sketch, woodcut, watermarking, color painting, mounting. Studios have been set up for these processes respectively. In each studio, the masters guide the apprentice to carry on the inheritance of skills.
