UN releases Year of the Pig stamps

United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) has issued a stamp sheet featuring the Year of the Pig.

In celebration of the Chinese New Year, the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) has issued a stamp sheet featuring the Year of the Pig.

The new sheet, released on Jan 11, contains 10 $1.15 stamps and features the UN logo. It is the 10th release in UNPA’s Lunar New Year stamp series. The zodiac Year of the Pig is the last of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. Chinese New Year is on Feb 5.

The labels of the stamps and the background were designed by Wu Shining, a renowned Chinese artist who has designed many stamps for China Post.
The stamps are available at UNPA stamp shops in New York, Geneva and Vienna and on the UNPA website.
