Bai, Xiao reunite for new rom-com

After a long break, actress Bai Baihe returns to limelight for the upcoming romantic comedy A Boyfriend for My Girlfriend, which will open on Feb 5.

As a follow-up to the 2016 sleeper hit, Some Like It Hot, the new film is a remake of the 2008 Argentine film, A Boyfriend for My Wife.

Xiao Yang returns to join Bai and Wu Xiubo, who shot to fame in the 2013 hit Finding Mr Right.

In the new story, a couple — played by Bai and Xiao — have been married for seven years, but their life is disturbed by a newcomer played by Wu.

During a recent promotional event, Bai shared her understanding of love — the movie's main theme.

Bai compared lipsticks and pills to love, saying that lipsticks stand for sweetness and happiness, while pills represent the ability to heal. She regarded the co-existence of both as the completeness of love.

Meanwhile, she reminded the attendees that women should never give up their courage to face difficulties, undefeated belief and strong healing ability in love.
