On Tuesday, the National Health Commission announced it was launching pilot Internet Plus nursing services in six provinces and metropolises, including Beijing, Tianjin and Guangdong province from February to December this year.
According to the announcement, Internet Plus nursing services will be an online system that will enable discharged patients and disabled people to apply for registered nurses to visit them at home and provide nursing services.
The document stipulates the requirements for the service providers, service objects, service items, service management and risk prevention and control. Registered nurses sent by pilot medical institutions should have at least five years of clinical nursing service experience and acquire a license that is stored on a national nurse electronic registration system. These nurses will provide nursing services including chronic management, rehabilitation nursing, health education and hospice care to elderly people, disabled aged people, convalescents and terminally ill patients.
The pilot medical institutions should provide a diagnosis of the applicants for the nursing services, in order to evaluate their health conditions and nursing needs. These medical institutions can independently develop internet platforms for the service or establish cooperative mechanisms with qualified third-party information technology platforms.
Face recognition technology and phone app location tracking for nurses will be used along with other measures in order to prevent and control risks.
