Bad weather to mar Boston Marathon, again

Odds are increasing that this year's Boston Marathon will be a very wet run for the second consecutive year as gusty winds are forecast in the cards sometime between Sunday night and midday Monday (April 15), the official race day of the event.

The world's oldest annual marathon was marred by heavy rain, cold temperatures and gusty winds in 2018, and runners were probably hoping the same thing wouldn't happen for this year's race.

Organizers will reportedly christen three new para athlete divisions from next year's run for wheelchair racers and ambulatory runners.

Security concerns are looming since the 2013 terrorist bomb attack at the finish line that killed three people and injured more than 260.
