Saudi Arabia, US announce joint stand against Iran's hostilities

RIYADH - Saudi Arabia and the United States announced on Monday a joint stand against Iran's hostilities, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The announcement was made during a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud and visiting US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Riyadh.

Both sides also asserted efforts to fight extremism and terrorism and discussed bilateral ties in various sectors.

Pompeo arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday for talks with the close ally amid mounting tensions with Iran. The United Arab Emirates would be the second destination in his official visits.
