Vladimir Putin and APR leaders to take part in EEF 2019 plenary session

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga will take part in the plenary meeting of the 5th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on Sept 4-6, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"The main event of the forum – the plenary session – will take place on Sept 5. This year, along with our president, it will be attended by the Indian prime minister, Japanese prime minister, Malaysian prime minister as well as the Mongolian president. The plenary session will be moderated by ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos", Peskov said.
The Eastern Economic Forum is held annually with the objective of facilitating the accelerated development of the Russian Far East's economy and expanding international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region in accordance with the Executive order of the President of the Russian Federation No. 250 of May 19, 2015.
The 2019 Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok from Sept 4-6. Far Eastern Federal University’s (FEFU) campus on Russkiy Ostrov will serve as the forum’s venue.
