emanreus (Hong Kong, China)

The ones attacking police stations, burning and damaging government (people's) property, demolishing traffic lights, digging up pavement stones and throwing them at police officers, using huge slingshots with ball bearings and trying to blind police with lasers — not the ones used for stargazing but more powerful ones.

The youngsters and their "leaders" cannot be labeled protesters, but are rioters. Being charged with rioting is a felony and additional charges may be filed for crimes committed during the riot.
