20 more Chinese tourists injured in bus crash in Laos fly back to homeland

VIENTIANE - Twenty more Chinese tourists injured in a road accident in northern Laos flew back to China via a chartered flight on Friday afternoon.
On Thursday afternoon, the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA)'s Peace Train medical team accompanied four injured Chinese tourists to take flights back to China.
On Friday, with the help of the medical staff from the Chinese and Lao armies and volunteers, the injured boarded a chartered China Eastern Airlines flight, to fly back to Nanjing, capital of China's Jiangsu province, where most of the injured tourists came from.
Chinese Ambassador to Laos Jiang Zaidong, together with officials from the Chinese and Lao governments, went to the airport, visiting and seeing off the injured and their families.
Altogether 13 Chinese nationals were killed, 31 others injured, as well as two Lao nationals wounded in a bus crash in northern Laos near Luang Prabang on Monday.
So far, besides two Chinese with minor injuries going back to China by themselves, the Chinese and Lao authorities have sent 24 injured Chinese tourists back to China. They will soon arrange transportation for the left five injured, and will handle the related issues concerning the killed tourists.
