Located on the border of Guizhou and Yunnan provinces, Beipanjiang bridge is the world's highest bridge with a height of 565.4 meters above Beipanjiang Grand Valley.

As a section of an expressway linking Hangzhou in Zhejiang province and Ruili in Yunnan province, the bridge boasts a span of 720 meters, the second-largest in the world. It is also the world's first cable-stayed bridge with a main span of over 500 meters

Complicated geographical conditions made it difficult to build the bridge but led to several technological advancements during construction, including 11 patents.
