Should the law protect underage criminals?

chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2019-11-03 09:00

Editor's note: There have been intense discussions about whether the criminal accountability age should be lowered, after a 13-year-old boy, accused of killing a 10-year-old girl, after failing to rape her, would be exempt from punishment because he was below the age of 14. Is the law too lenient towards juvenile delinquents? Forum readers share their opinions.
